Special Edition: Budget Testimony! Special Edition: Budget Testimony! March 2, 2022 Dear Friends and Neighbors, This is a special mid-week update: it's budget testimony time! Testimony The House Finance Committee is hearing public testimony on the budget this week. It's your first chance to weigh in on this year's state spending. If you're in Juneau: You can testify on Thursday between 2 pm and 4 pm. You need to sign in or call before 3:30 pm to get in the queue. You can come in person to the House Finance Committee Room on the 5th floor of the Capitol or you can call in to (907) 586-9085. If you're in Haines, Skagway, Gustavus, or Klukwan: You can testify on Saturday between 11 am and 2 pm. You need to call before 1:30 pm to get in the queue. You can call in to (844) 586-9085. The legislature needs to hear from you. We can pass big important bills all day long, but nothing gets done—from educating kids to managing fish—if we don't pay for it.
