Dear members and supporters,
Celebrate the upcoming International Women's Day with us as we LAUNCH OUR
BERTA CÁCERES INTERNATIONAL FEMINIST ORGANIZING SCHOOL (IFOS) GUIDEBOOK
[1] on Friday, March 4—Berta’s birthday! Our Guidebook is a labor of
love: implemented, practiced, and taught by grassroots feminist leaders,
discussed and studied by School participants, and nurtured by grassroots
struggles around the world.
We tell the story of developing the IFOS from a collective dream, and how
we organized the School following principles of language justice and
inclusivity to encompass the full spectrum of gender identities and sexual
orientations. You’ll get an inside view of what it takes to organize an
international, multi-language, online school during a global pandemic, be
able to explore aspects of our beautifully illustrated curriculum, and
delve into the liberatory practice of mística.
It is our wish that this Guidebook will be a resource for grassroots
movements, sharing the lessons and inspiration from our Feminist Organizing
School model, and our vision for how to implement these in the future. We
hope this material will inspire you to stay engaged with and support global
feminist movements!

The Berta Cáceres International Feminist Organizing School is a
collaboration between Grassroots Global Justice Alliance (GGJ), Grassroots
International (GRI), Indigenous Environmental Network (IEN), and World
March of Women (WMW), four alliances deeply committed to feminist
internationalism and a Just Transition to a Feminist Economy.

Celebren con nosotres el próximo Día Internacional de la Mujer con el
LANZAMIENTO DEL LIBRO GUÍA DE LA ESCUELA INTERNACIONAL PARA LA
ORGANIZACIÓN FEMINISTA “BERTA CÁCERES” (IFOS POR SUS SIGLAS EN
INGLÉS) [1] el día viernes 4 de marzo, ¡en el aniversario del
cumpleaños de Berta! Nuestro libro guía es una labor de amor:
implementado, practicado y con las enseñanzas de líderes feministas de
base, debatido y estudiado por las y les participantes de la IFOS, y
alimentado por las luchas de base alrededor del mundo.
Contamos la historia del desarrollo de la IFOS a partir de un sueño
colectivo, y cómo la organizamos siguiendo los principios de justicia
lingüística e inclusión para abarcar todo el espectro de identidades de
género y orientaciones sexuales. En el evento, compartiremos una visión
interna de lo que supone organizar una escuela internacional, multilingüe
y en línea durante una pandemia mundial; podrán explorar aspectos de
nuestro plan de estudios bellamente ilustrado, así como profundizar en la
práctica liberadora de la mística.
Deseamos que este libro guía sea un recurso para los movimientos de base,
para que vayan compartiendo las lecciones y la inspiración de nuestro
modelo de una escuela para la organización feminista, y nuestra visión de
cómo implementar este modelo en el futuro. Esperamos que este material les
inspire a seguir comprometides con los movimientos feministas globales y a
apoyarlos.
