Thanks to your hard work and the efforts of our supporters and allies,the overwhelming majority of Texas Values Action endorsed candidates succeeded at the ballot box yesterday.

Texas Values Action endorsed candidates had a 90% success rate Tuesday, with almost all winning outright and a few moving forward to runoff elections.

A special note: Rep. Valoree Swanson, author of the Save Women's Sports Law, was victorious in her race with nearly 70% of the vote.  Also, the Senate author (Sen. Charles Perry) of the Save Women's Sports Law, and the House and Senate authors of the Texas Heartbeat Law (Rep. Shelby Slawson and Sen. Bryan Hughes), all won their races without a challenger.

In the U.S. House of Representatives, 7 of the 9 contested races Texas Values Action endorsed in won.  In the Texas House of Representatives, 9 out of 10 contested races endorsed by the organization won or moved forward to runoffs. In the Texas Senate, all Texas Values Action endorsed candidates won or moved forward. 

Other notable outcomes include Governor Abbott's clinching the Republican nomination and will now face Beto O'Rourke in November. Attorney General Ken Paxton is headed to a runoff election with Land Commissioner George P. Bush, and Texas Values Action endorsed candidate Sen. Dawn Buckingham heads to a runoff election with Tim Westley in the statewide Land Commissioner race for the Republican nomination.
