Hello —
Last night, I had the honor of attending President Biden’s first State of the Union address where he celebrated our achievements from the last year and reaffirmed our commitment to making progress for working families.
Over the last few years, the American people have faced unprecedented challenges, but we have persevered — making incredible progress along the way. Thanks to the American Rescue Plan, we helped families save about $2,400 a year on health insurance premiums and as a result, more Americans have health insurance today than ever before.
Through the bipartisan infrastructure plan, we created good-paying union jobs to rebuild our roads and bridges, build clean water infrastructure, and make high-speed broadband available to everyone in Wisconsin — all while building a renewable energy economy that can address the climate crisis.
We’ve made significant progress over the last year, and none of it would have been possible without your support. These historic victories were only possible because of folks like you who chipped in, organized, volunteered, and helped us get out the vote for Democrats.
But as I’m sure you know, we still have a lot of work ahead of us to build a better America for working families — from lowering the prices of prescription drugs to codifying Roe v. Wade into federal law to protecting our fundamental right to vote. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get back to work, but I can’t do it alone.
It’ll take a strong grassroots team to protect our fragile Democratic majorities so we can advance our priorities and continue making progress. If you’re able, will you pitch in to help us protect our Democratic majorities in the midterm elections so we can keep up the fight for America’s working families?
