Last night in Texas, Greg Casar won his primary election for Congress, and Jessica Cisneros forced a runoff election against incumbent Rep. Henry Cuellar on May 24th.
It’s clear that people are not waiting for change. Across the country — from Texas to Massachusetts — folx are demanding leaders who are committed to representing the people and advancing bold, transformative policies.
Last night’s results are proof of what we can do when we build together to grow our progressive coalition.
Together, we’re expanding our Squad, but we have to keep up the momentum to help Jessica in her primary runoff election. Will you split a contribution between Jessica and our movement today to help send Jessica to Congress and re-elect Ayanna?
Jessica is the right candidate to represent South Texas. She has always put her community at the center of her advocacy and her activism — and her partnership will be critical in advancing policies like reproductive justice, Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, and so much more.
But for Jessica to win her primary runoff, we can’t slow down now. She’s up against a well-funded, corporate-backed opponent, so we need the full power of our grassroots movement to elect Jessica.
