In just over 8 months, North Carolinians will return to the polls. In the face of so much uncertainty — a world beset by conflict, a climate crisis that is an existential threat to all of us — it might not seem that pressing to think about November now.

But it is.

Right-wing Republican leaders are willing to lie about the outcomes of elections and the actions of their twice-impeached leader when it’s politically necessary.
