Hello,
In his State of the Union address last night, President Biden gave a unifying speech laying out his agenda to deliver for Americans.
We’ve faced unprecedented challenges over the past two years with the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ve made strides to get the country on a path to recovery, and I’m proud of the agenda the president laid out last night. I’m ready to get to work, continuing to build a stronger and safer Vermont and country.
TAKE ACTION NOW: Add your name to say you’re with President Biden and the agenda he laid out.
We’ve seen what happens when we come together to get things done. I was proud to vote for both the American Rescue Plan and the much-needed Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill — legislation that helped ease some suffering. But there’s still much more work we need to do if we’re going to provide long-term relief for Vermonters and folks across the country.
That means Congress must act in order to help people who are still hurting. No one in America should have to ration insulin or miss a bill payment to afford life-saving medication. No one working full-time should be unable to find affordable housing. We must do more now.
When I listen to Vermonters, these are the issues that come up the most: lowering the price of prescription drugs, creating more affordable housing, and tackling the climate crisis. We know how to solve all these problems, we just need the political will to make it happen.
I’m proud of the work we’ve accomplished so far, and am ready to roll up my sleeves to continue fighting for what’s right for Vermonters.
Together, we can get it done.
Thanks,
Peter
