As the nation watched the State of the Union last night, progressives had
HUGE victories in Texas, creating big momentum to get more progressives in
the House in 2022!

The Hill: Progressive favorite Greg Casar wins primary for TX-35
congressional district

CBS News: Jessica Cisneros forces incumbent Cuellar into runoff election
for Democratic nomination

Rolling Stone: It's official: The marquee Democratic House primary of 2022
heads to runoff

Congressman Henry Cuellar is a Manchin ally who blocked the Democratic
economic agenda even though he represents a blue district.

Progressives are winning and PCCC members are helping make it happen --
donating over $20,000 through more than 1,700 donations to Texas
candidates. Keep it going to add more progressive voices -- and more
progressive power -- in the House.

candidates with upcoming primaries in Florida, Kentucky, Montana, New
York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, and Pennsylvania?

Here is a quick introduction to our diverse slate of progressive
changemakers with upcoming congressional primaries:

Maxwell Alejandro Frost (FL-10) is part of a new generation of civil
rights activists. If elected, he would be the first "Generation Z" member
of Congress. As he says, "We can’t let Big Oil, big business, and the 1%
decide our fates for us." He understands how working people and people of
color have been left behind by our society, and is committed to fighting
back. He's even put his own safety on the line -- he's been beaten,
tear-gassed, and jailed during protests for justice. Frost is a proud
Afro-Cuban with deep community organizing experience he will use in
Congress. On the campaign trail, Maxwell is picketing with unions,
standing with teachers in their fight for better pay, and striving towards
a fairer, more equitable country. FL-10 is an open seat after Democratic
Rep. Val Demings' run for Senate against Marco Rubio. [ [link removed] ]Chip in $3 to
Maxwell's campaign.

Attica Scott (KY-03) is a current State Representative and was the first
Black woman elected to the Kentucky General Assembly in more than two
decades. In her time in the assembly, she brought 80 bills to the floor,
including legislation banning no-knock warrants and banning discrimination
against students who wear natural hairstyles to school. Scott is running
in an open seat to replace the retiring Rep. John Yarmuth and will fight
for racial justice, Medicare For All, a Green New Deal, the John Lewis
Voting Rights Act, and more. [ [link removed] ]Donate to Attica's campaign.

Tom Winter (MT-01) served in the Montana State House, is a current member
of IBEW 206, and has been organizing in the Western Montana community for
the last decade. Winter proved that Democrats can win in a +11 Trump
district by organizing in their community and rooting a campaign in
popular policies that empower and excite working families. He is a climate
champion who supports a Green New Deal, an outspoken advocate for voting
rights, and has a plan to tackle the opioid crisis by taking on Big Pharma
in Washington. MT-01 is a new, open seat created due to census gains for
Montana. [ [link removed] ]Donate $3 to Tom's campaign.

Brittany Ramos Debarros (NY-11) is an Afro-Latina Staten Islander who was
raised in a military family and a progressive combat veteran who served in
Afghanistan. She is running on a bold progressive platform of a Green New
Deal, Medicare for All, affordable housing, Universal Pre-K, and a
comprehensive approach to national security that leverages diplomacy and
proactive cooperation. The New York 11th District leans blue, but is
currently represented by a Republican who opposed an independent
commission to investigate the Jan 6th attack on Congress, voted to
overturn the election in two states, and voted against President Biden's
$1.9 trillion COVID relief package.. [ [link removed] ]Donate to Brittany's campaign.

Erica Smith (NC-01) has spent her life fighting for small communities and
farmers -- while challenging CEOs, Wall Street bankers, and corrupt
politicians. She is running for an open U.S. House seat in the area she
grew up in and represented for years in the state legislature. And she
excites people! In this competitive blue district, Erica will fight for
higher wages, more rural hospitals, and expanding rural broadband -- and
she is not taking corporate PAC or fossil fuel money. She will fight back
against corporate monopolies that have hollowed out communities in her
district and across the nation. [ [link removed] ]Donate to Erica's campaign.

Doyle Canning (OR-4) is a community organizer, attorney, mother, and
progressive leader with a proven track record of fighting for climate
solutions and taking on corporate power. For 20 years, Doyle has stood up
to Wall Street Banks, big polluters, billionaires, and the politicians
they pay for. She has built movements for strong climate solutions,
working families, racial justice, immigrant rights, homes for all,
environmental restoration, and more -- advocating in Congress for
legislation to move progressive priorities forward. OR-4 is an open, blue
seat held by retiring Democratic Rep. Peter DeFazio. Doyle is running to
fight for environmental and climate justice, health care, and expanding
collective bargaining and workers rights. [ [link removed] ]Donate to Doyle's campaign.

Summer Lee (PA-12) is running for an open, blue U.S. House seat. She is a
Pennsylvania state legislator and dedicated organizer, activist, and
advocate for social justice. Since taking office, Summer has been a voice
for people across her district -- championing initiatives that support
sustainable jobs, environmental responsibility, police accountability, and
gender and racial equity. She is a tireless advocate for workers’ rights,
union protections, and the fight for a liveable wage. [ [link removed] ]Donate to
Summer's campaign.

Jessica Cisneros (TX-28) is a human rights lawyer and proud daughter of
Mexican immigrants who just forced one of the most conservative Democrats
in the House to a May 24 runoff in Texas. Congressman Henry Cuellar is a
"Democrat" who worked with Sinema, Manchin, and corporate interests to
torpedo child care, climate funds, lower-price prescriptions, universal
pre-k, and the rest of the Build Back Better agenda. CBS News reports that
"Cuellar is among the most conservative Democrats in Congress, and a
Cisneros victory would bring a seismic liberal shift." Cisneros will fight
to pass progressive ideas and is a fierce advocate for Medicare For All, a
Green New Deal, and fixing our broken immigration system. [ [link removed] ]Donate to
Jessica's campaign.

Progressives are WINNING. Keep the momentum going to add more progressive
voices and more progressive power in the House of Representatives.
