It often feels like my right-wing Republican opponents in this race are living in the past. Whether relitigating the 2020 presidential election, threatening to strip away Nevadans’ reproductive rights, or working to make it harder to vote, my opponents want to drag Nevada backward.

But let’s be clear, Friends: This election is about the present — all we’ve accomplished together to get to this point — and where we go in the future.

The last thing our nine MAGA opponents want to do is acknowledge Nevada’s progress over the past three years, all while going through the worst pandemic in a century.

Here are some accomplishments we’ve made together that my opponents don’t want to talk about:

-Increased access to affordable health care for Nevadans
-Increased funding for public education, so every child can succeed
-Increased state government support for small businesses to help them through the pandemic
-Expanded access to reproductive freedom by eliminating barriers and investing in comprehensive family planning services
-Increased voting accessibility by expanding automatic voter registration and making voting by mail or in-person easier than ever 
-Raised Nevada’s minimum wage to lift Nevada’s hardworking families
-Increased pay for Nevada’s state workers

I know our opponents’ strategy depends on painting the darkest picture possible of how things are going in Nevada. Truthfully, I find it sad that any good news about how things are going seems to scare them.

Here’s what else I know: Election experts rank Nevada as one state most at risk to flip red. That’s why Republicans and their dark money special interest groups are already dumping millions into this race.

So, team, we could lose the progress we’re making in a heartbeat. I’m asking for your help to continue building a stronger Nevada and keep our battleground state blue. Can I count on you to chip in $15 for my re-election campaign?
