This is a long email. It's about why I'm running for President, and why I'm counting on your support. I hope you'll take a moment to read it, then if you can, chip in $1 or whatever you can.
Growing up, I never thought I'd run for President.
I was raised by a single mom. We struggled just to get by.
The only reason I knew there was a Governor's house in my hometown was because I delivered newspapers to it.
Now as Governor, my wife and I are raising our three kids in that very same house.
I got my shot at the American Dream. But for a whole lot of Americans, that opportunity no longer exists -- and for far too many, it never has.
I'm running for President to change that. I want to give every child in America that fair shot to do better than their parents. But I can't do it alone, which is why I have to ask:
Will you chip in $1 to my campaign for President today? We're pushing to get 65,000 individual donors to secure our spot at the next debate...but the deadline is next week. If you've been waiting to donate, this is the best time to do it:

For years, the rich and powerful have done better and better while the rest of us have paid the price. Washington has been so thoroughly corrupted by Big Money that it has been unable to tackle our biggest challenges.
Giving power back to the people starts by eliminating the toxic influence of Big Money in our democracy.
But here's the thing: barely anyone is talking about this. In the first Democratic debate, there were NO questions about money in politics. The candidates allowed on stage oly talked about it for a total of just 84 seconds -- over the course of 4 hours!
I was blocked from the debate because I was one of the last candidates to jump into the race. That's because I'm a Governor, and I had a job to do.
But in the next debate, you better believe my plan to tackle Big Money once and for all will be front and center.
So this is why I'm asking you to donate today. We've qualified through polling for the next debate, but the DNC could still limit how many candidates are on stage and lock us out again.
Having the support of 65,000 individual donors is the best way to ensure the DNC doesn't block us from the stage again. So can you please donate?
