** Hi
Friend of Trevor,
------------------------------------------------------------
Yesterday, Amit and Sam discussed the ways in which The Trevor Project continues to advocate for and create a more loving and affirming world for LGBTQ young people.
A recording of this powerful briefing is available here ([link removed]) and details how we all can continue to fight for LGBTQ young people and remind them that they are loved for exactly who they are.
During our briefing, we were able to share some exciting news from the White House ([link removed]) that was confirmed during President Biden's first State of the Union Address. The President announced a national mental health strategy to strengthen system capacity, connect more Americans to care, and create a continuum of support – transforming our health and social services infrastructure to address mental health holistically and equitably.
The Trevor Project is thrilled about the planned launch of the “988” crisis response line that will strengthen community-based crisis response, ensuring more Americans and specifically, LGBTQ young people have access to crisis intervention and mental health supports.
With your support, Trevor can continue to expand our research, advocacy work and life-saving programs to serve over 200,000 crisis contacts last year.
Make a gift today to ensure Trevor continues to be there 24/7 for LGBTQ young people in need.
