One of the most important pillars of a functioning democracy is fair and free elections. Undemocratic voter suppression bills are being written and signed into law all across the country. States are purging eligible voters from voter rolls, closing polling places, making it illegal to bring food and water to voters waiting in long lines, and implementing strict and unnecessary voter ID laws.
