Friend,

Last week Dr. Eliz Markowitz, who’s running for the State House seat in District 28, finished first in all-party voting and is now headed to a runoff.

A Democrat winning the most votes in the suburban district west of Houston -- historically, a Republican stronghold -- is huge. And we couldn’t be more excited about it.

The thing is, here at Battleground Texas, we’re often the very first organization to go into these suburban and rural districts outside of major cities to canvass and register voters. It’s exactly the kind of work we need to be doing as 2020 gets closer.

We can fight and win in these districts -- but only if we have the resources to compete.

So today I’m asking you to invest in changing the face of politics in Texas. Together we can ensure even more districts across the Lone Star State have the same result we saw in HD28 last Tuesday.

Make a donation right now so we can keep doing the crucial work necessary to make Texas more competitive in 2020.
