"E.P.A. to Limit Science Used to Write Public Health Rules"-- The New York Times, 11/11/19

The Trump administration's latest proposal will make it easier for the Environmental Protection Agency to roll back critical environmental and public health protections.

John, our health and safety is non-negotiable. Join Suzan DelBene in demanding that the administration stops politicizing science and drops this harmful measure.

Hey,

We didn't think it was possible, but the EPA has managed to abandon science even further with its latest proposal. The proposal's newest draft released to The New York Times outlines how the EPA will make it more difficult for scientists to enact environmental protections that affect public health.

But it gets worse: under these new regulations, the agency will be able to roll back existing protections that regulate air pollution, our water quality, and so much more.

Suzan is advocating for laws that keep our air and water clean and protect our quality of life. But new regulations like this put our health and safety at risk. We have to fight back. Add your name to demand the administration abandons this misguided proposal.

When asked about this new proposal, EPA administrator, Andrew Wheeler, said, "The reality is, standards are not going to be tightened as long as there's a Republican in office."

As if that should be a good enough excuse for weak regulations! It's because of politically-motivated moves like this that we need leaders like Suzan and Governor Jay Inslee who fight back at the state and federal level against decisions that put our health, safety, and environment at risk.

No American should have to worry about the quality of the water they drink -- but that is already the case for so many families. This new policy will only make it more difficult to fight for clean water and air when that should already be a human right.

We have to sound the alarm, John. Join Suzan in demanding the administration quits playing political games with our health and safety and drop this proposal.
