Youth Worker Check In – Let’s talk about Gender Based Violence and Youth Work

NYCI would like to open a space and invite youth workers to share the conversations that are taking place both between youth workers and with young people about what is happening within all our communities in regard to gender based violence.

The 2022 Artist and Youth Work Residency Grant Scheme is now open for applications! Apply now for the Youth Arts Explorer Grant €1500 or Artist and Youth Work Full Residency Grant €5000. The closing date for applications is 12pm on Friday 25th March 2022.

** Regularisation Scheme for Undocumented People
------------------------------------------------------------

Submissions for the regularisation scheme for undocumented people living in Ireland are open. The scheme aims to bring rights and justice to residents, including 3,000 children and young people, who call Ireland home. We urge the youth work sector to play an important role in this by linking young undocumented people and their families to the support that MRCI have in place.

** ISSU Women's Conference

The Irish Second-Level Student's Union (ISSU) will be hosting their first annual 'ISSU Women's Conference' on March 8th, 2022, to celebrate International Women's Day. The event will run from 10am - 4:30pm in the Academy Plaza Hotel, Dublin.

** ISSU Annual Assembly - An Chomhdháil Bhliaintiúl 2022

The ISSU is hosting their annual assembly on Friday 22nd & Saturday 23rd April. Representatives will attend to feed into the work of the ISSU policies and learn skills to aid them in furthering student voice in their own schools.

** Irish Youth Wind Ensemble
------------------------------------------------------------

The Irish Youth Wind Ensemble Summer Residential course 2022 will take place in University of Limerick from Sunday, 24 to Saturday, 30 July 2022. Auditions will take place in Cork on Saturday, 5 March 2022 and in Dublin on Saturday, 12 and Sunday, 13 March 2022. The closing date for your audition application is Friday, 25 February 2022.

Too Into You Campaign

Too Into You is Women’s Aid’s campaign that raises awareness of intimate relationship abuse among young people aged 18-25 in Ireland. From Valentine's Day, 14th February, to International Women's Day, 8th March, they are running an awareness campaign to help young people learn about healthy vs unhealthy relationships and find support at TooIntoYou.ie.

** Quality Standards for Youth Volunteering

Volunteer Ireland are inviting organisations in Ireland, who are involved in the coordination or management of youth volunteering programmes and/or activities to participate in this award. Their jury will assess applications for the award using the recently defined European Quality Standards in Youth Volunteering and the winner will be invited to attend an award ceremony in Brussels, Belgium in June 2022.

Late Late Show Funding

The Community Foundation have announced the disbursement of the Late Late Show Funds, through two rounds, the first has now opened and is inviting applications from community groups and organisations. It will provide grants of between €5,000 and €20,000.
