This Women’s History Month, Ruth’s List Florida is excited to announce a major new endorsement — Tiffany Hughes for House District 39.

This will be one of the most important battleground districts in Florida this cycle. We’re so excited for Tiffany’s candidacy and to have played a crucial role in her recruitment for this race. In our entire history, we’ve never issued an endorsement this early in a non-incumbent legislative race, but we know our early support is critical to ensuring her victory in November.

House District 39 is a newly drawn seat in the central Florida area that encompasses both Orange and Seminole Counties. Tiffany is deeply connected to her community, serving as current President of the Orange County branch of the NAACP and the co-owner of KBI Staffing Solutions, LLC, a staffing firm whose mission is to economically empower the community through job opportunity. If elected, she would be the first Black woman to serve as a state representative from Seminole county.
