Are you or the young people in your life passionate about birth control and contraceptive access? Would you like to join a digital campaign dedicated to ensuring that birth control pills are available over-the-counter?
The #FreeThePill campaign is now working with Advocates for Youth to recruit young people (age 14-24) to take the lead on bringing oral contraceptives over-the-counter, covered by insurance, with no age-restrictions.
Young people want to see birth control pills on the shelves at their local pharmacy. And with more than 19.5 million women living in contraceptive deserts, or counties in which they do not have reasonable access to the full range of contraceptive methods, available, over-the-counter birth control could make a world of difference.
Sign up here or send this link to a young person you know ASAP because signups end on Monday, November 18th!
We can win this fight. After all, you used to need a prescription to get emergency contraception like Plan B too. But people organized, raised awareness, and convinced the FDA to bring it over-the-counter. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this movement to help millions take control of their sexual health.
