Tonight in Austin, progressive Greg Casar won a decisive victory in the Democratic primary for Texas’s 35th District, virtually ensuring his election in a safe blue district.
Casar avoided a runoff by winning over 50% of the vote on a bold agenda for working families: Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, affordable housing, and protecting our democracy.
With the support of grassroots donors like you, The Six PAC donated $10,000 towards a massive Justice Democrats independent expenditure campaign that helped propel Greg to a historic win.
Tonight, we showed the value of building progressive power.
We’re proud to be part of a coalition that included Justice Democrats, and prominent endorsers like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Sen. Bernie Sanders, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, that boosted the work of activists on the ground.
Now, we have one more vote to end for-profit health care, fight back against voter suppression, and vigorously defend our reproductive rights against extremists like Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.
