Friend,
As we celebrate Women’s History Month, it’s critical we prioritize women that are most impacted by the public health crisis of gun violence in our country. Every year, over 300,000 women and girls go missing or are murdered, with a third of them being Black. Secondly, gun violence has become the second leading cause of death in women under the age of 44.
That’s why we are launching the Protect Black Women & Girls Campaign.
This campaign will center and amplify the voices of Black women and girls impacted by this crisis and the policy solutions we know can save lives. Today we are launching our Protect Black Women Campaign and highlighting ways to get involved throughout the month. Sign our petition to join our efforts and learn more at our upcoming webinar featuring survivors and legislators creating policy to address this crisis.

For far too long, Black women and girls have experienced higher rates of intimate partner violence, homicide, and sexual violence. The traumatic experiences Black women and girls face, and tragic deaths that have become all too common, are often ignored, or go unnoticed. It’s time for us to collectively speak out against this erasure and do everything in our power to stop this crisis.
At Community Justice we believe that every Black woman and girl deserves to feel safe and secure. Thanks for partnering with us to make that happen.
