Extreme abortion bill fails in US Senate 

Yesterday, Democrats in the Senate advanced a radical abortion proposal known as the Women’s Health Protection Act. The measure would have undone pro-life protections nationwide and imposed abortion on demand throughout the country. Thankfully, the bill failed to advance.

We are very grateful to all Senate Republicans, as well as Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), for voting to block this proposal. Senator Chuck Schumer, who championed the bill, voted in support of it. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand did as well.
