Friend -- tonight, I'll be at the Capitol for President Biden's first State of the Union address.
Before his speech, I wanted to reach out not to ask for a donation, but to ask for your input.
Tell me: What do you think are the most pressing issues our nation faces today? As Senate majority leader, it's my duty to make sure we address your top concerns -- so take a moment to respond to my 2022 Senate Priorities Survey now:
President Biden will have no shortage of topics to address in his speech tonight.
In just over a year in office -- and a year since we took back the majority in the Senate -- we've made so much progress together. We passed historic COVID relief, an unprecedented investment in infrastructure, and confirmed a record number of judges.
But we have more work to do. Democracy is in peril at home and abroad. The world has endured an unprecedented year of climate-change-fueled catastrophes. The price of college, prescription drugs, and health care is wearing down the middle class.
These are the challenges of our time, and make no mistake: We will never stop fighting for the big, bold change our country needs.
That's why, before President Biden's State of the Union tonight, I want to hear from you: What are your top priorities for us as a nation? I'll fight for them as hard as I can, so take a moment to tell me what's on your mind.
Sincerely,
Chuck Schumer
