The United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit recently denied efforts by 12 Republican AGs to temporarily prevent federally-funded family planning clinics from making referrals for abortion.
Friend, Democratic AGs will never stop fighting for the right to an abortion. Dem AGs are often our last line of defense against these extremist, conservative attacks on our rights and they believe that every person deserves the freedom to make decisions about their own reproductive health.
The program that Republican AGs are trying to shut down provides more than $250 million per year to clinics that supply basic health care services and birth control, primarily to low-income people, many of whom come from minority communities. Dem AGs are crucial allies for these types of programs. DAGA only supports Dem AGs who promise to use their office to protect this sort of critical reproductive care.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in 2022, we need your support – will you chip in today?
