Greetings Friend,

Today we're excited to share with you the first of several helpful voter tools that we're releasing during our countdown to the 2022 elections. Introducing our 2022 "Champions of the Family" Legislative Scorecard <[link removed]>.

Since 2011, NC Values has published an annual Legislative Scorecard to help voters like you determine how your NC General Assembly Members voted on pro-life, pro-family, and pro-religious liberty legislation.

There are few things as powerful in politics as transparency and accountability.

Therefore, we believe publishing grades on General Assembly Members does make a difference in elections—by recognizing those legislators who vote for family values, by holding legislators who don't accountable for their votes, and by letting voters know who shares their values.

In addition to using a simple grading system ranging from A+ to F, our Scorecard allows users to search the name, party, and district of their NC Senator or Representative. As detailed in our Scorecard Methodology <[link removed]>, individual scores consist of points gained for supporting, sponsoring, and/or chairing pro-family legislative items such as the:

- Dignity for Women Who Are Incarcerated Bill (HB608)

- Human Life Non-Discrimination Act Bill (HB 453)

- Ensuring Dignity & Non-Discrimination Schools Bill (HB 324)

- Academic Transparency Bill (HB 755)

- Expedite Permanency Bill (SB 693)

- Limit Who May Advertise/Adoption Laws (SB 552)

- Foster Parents Bill of Rights (HB 769)

- Donor Privacy Bill (SB 636)

- Appropriations Act (SB 105, RC 469; SB 105, RC 574)

- Elections Day Integrity Act (SB 326)

- Sports Wagering Bill (SB688)

We congratulate the following legislators for receiving our highest available grade (an A+), and for being "Champions of the Family" in the NC General Assembly:
