Even in these difficult times, we are reflecting on our key accomplishments and lessons and, most importantly, staying focused on the major tasks to come. About 17 percent of the world’s population has received at least one COVID-19-related cash transfer payment since the onset of the pandemic. Many of these transfers have been conducted digitally to efficiently and safely provide economic relief to affected households. Working closely with governments and partners in the Philippines, Colombia, and Bangladesh, IPA mapped key challenges in the delivery and use of digital Government-to-Person (G2P) Payments.
