Last week, President Biden nominated an outstanding, capable, and historic judge to serve on the Supreme Court.

If confirmed, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson would be the first Black woman to serve on the Supreme Court and would carry on Justice Stephen Breyer's legacy of fighting for equality and justice.

Our institutions should look like the people they represent, and I applaud President Biden for getting us one step closer to the Supreme Court reflecting America's diversity.

Now that President Biden has done his job and nominated a highly qualified Supreme Court justice, it's time for the Senate to do their job and confirm her.
