Rally at the NYS Capitol for $15 Billion Before It’s Too Late: Fund Climate Justice Now!
Tuesday, March 8th, 10am-2pm
New York State Capitol, 89 Washington Ave, Albany NY 12234

On Tuesday, March 8, New Yorkers from across the state will flood the streets of Albany to demand $15 billion for climate, jobs, and justice. NY Renews is at the height of their campaign to win funding for climate action in the NYS budget, including at least $1 billion each year to weatherize and electrify affordable housing. This rally could be the action that pushes it over the finish line! But to get the money we need to address the climate crisis into the budget, we need you.
Join us on March 8th as we tell our leaders that we need to see $15 billion in the New York State budget, because climate justice—and our communities—can't wait any longer.
NY Renews will be coordinating buses, vans, and carpools from major areas across the state. You can select your transportation needs in their RSVP form. They also require everyone to be fully vaccinated and masked, and the entire event including the breakfast, rally, march, action, press conference, and lunch will be outdoors. We’ll see you at the Capitol!
Please spread the word using this outreach toolkit complete with a sample email and social media posts so that, together, we can build the people power we need to win!
If you can’t attend in person, you can take part from home! This guide also contains art ideas and handles for targeting New York State leadership. (Be sure to tag @NYRenews in your creations so we can highlight the art on the day of the action.)
