John,
I told you from the start that when I reached out asking for donations, I’d let you know exactly where your money is going -- and I intend to keep that promise.
On Sunday, we’re closing the books on this quarter, and we’ve set an ambitious goal of hiring two more field organizers and getting supplies and materials they need to start contacting voters this summer.
While the other side is doing everything they can to block our progress -- going as far as trying to intimidate the people working with us -- we’re laser focused on building the grassroots infrastructure we need to win. But we can’t do that without you.
My team tells me we’re just $9,724 away from having the budget to fill these roles. Can you chip in right now to help us reach that goal?

After this month, we’ll be reporting our numbers to the FEC for the first time since we launched this, and you better believe the strength of our campaign will be measured by the numbers in this report.
But I know that these numbers represent people, and how we’re building this campaign. It’s in stark contrast to my opponent. More than half of all the money Dan Lipinski has raised this year has come from corporate PACs, and we learned a few weeks ago that the billionaire, conservative Koch brothers are planning to spend big to protect conservative Democrats like him.
I’ve refused to take money from corporate PACs and lobbyists. So if we want to take on the big money being poured into Dan Lipinski’s campaign, I need you.
And when we need a budget boost so we can hire two new staff, I send an email like this.
John, that’s why I’m asking you to chip in today -- help us hire two new organizers and let’s build the ground game we need to win:

Thanks for your support,
Marie
