More than 500,000 people have already fled Ukraine in recent days, and it
is estimated there could be 4 million Ukrainian refugees in the region if
conflict continues.
Mercy Corps worked in Ukraine from 2015 to 2017 following the 2014
conflict, and we are now responding, mobilizing a team to Romania and
Poland and then, depending on safety and access, into Ukraine. We
anticipate providing emergency cash assistance as well as supporting local
organizations that know their communities’ needs best.

support.
As always, thank you for taking action to help people in Ukraine and
around the world build a better future. We’ll have more updates on
developments in Ukraine and our teams’ response in the days to come.
