John,

We're getting ready to close the books on the shortest month of the year. With only a few hours left before our end-of-month deadline, I wanted to share why it's crucial we reach our ambitious fundraising goal.

Earlier this month, the Washington State legislature officially approved a new congressional map which makes our race even more competitive. Under this new map, 20% of my constituents – around 150,000 Washingtonians – will be new to the 8th District.

After this news, Sabato's Crystal Ball joined The Cook Political Report in calling this race a "toss-up." They even said that our district is one of the country's "top bellwether seats this cycle," and all three Republicans running to unseat me would be "formidable" opponents.

It's clear: this is going to be our toughest race yet. With control of the House majority hinging on Washington's 8th District, I'm counting on your support to reach our goal before midnight to ensure we have the resources to win this "toss-up" race and defend our House majority.

So John, can I count on you to chip in $5, or whatever you can afford, before our end-of-month deadline at midnight? Anything you can give will go a long way toward protecting my seat and our House majority >> [link removed]

Thank you,

Kim
