Hi,

Have you seen the latest report by the IPCC <[link removed]> on climate change? Unsurprisingly, the dangerous effects of the climate crisis are happening so rapidly that it will make it difficult for the world to adapt. Unless greenhouse gas emissions are reduced quickly, we face an uncertain future where the planet and all its inhabitants are overwhelmed by storms, floods, disease, heat waves, deforestation, and hunger.

While the fossil fuel economy and old technologies of centuries past have sustained a considerable amount of irreversible damage, the world must come together to take immediate action. Actual action, with real plans, and real accountability.

We have to sit down and have a dialogue with friends, family, and neighbors about our changing planet and what we can do as global citizens to reverse course. As it stands, far too many people remain uninformed about climate change, which makes education and civic engagement all the more important. It’s been said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”1 The change we seek beings with us.

This will require individuals, businesses, and governments to act boldly, innovate broadly, and implement equitably. We have no more time to sit back and wait for further environmental tragedy. We have the power to accelerate innovative climate action plans, to Restore our Earth, and to build a sustainable future. It is going to take all of us to Invest In Our Planet <[link removed]>.
