This past month has made clear, yet again, just how critical it is for organizations like Pro-Israel America to fight back against the anti-Israel voices in Congress, across the country, and around the world.
Some organizations like Amnesty International continue to spew anti-Israel, antisemitic propaganda in a long tradition of attempts to delegitimize Israel’s very existence. I wrote about this in a new Times of Israel column, which you can read here.
These false and unconscionable narratives only provide more ammunition to loud anti-Israel voices, such as Rep. Marie Newman (IL-03), who has found herself embroiled in an alleged bribery scandal in which she was allegedly negotiating to adopt anti-Israel policy positions to avoid a primary challenge. We called on J Street PAC to immediately renounce its support for the Congresswoman, and they rescinded their endorsement a few weeks later. They ultimately made the right decision here – albeit a few months too late, as the Congresswoman had already staked hostile anti-Israel positions and even voted against funding for the Iron Dome last year. Now we are also calling on J Street to renounce its support of other anti-Israel candidates, including Rep. Jamaal Bowman (NY-16), who this month decided to turn his back on the historic progress being made between Israel and Arab states by pulling his support for the Abraham Accords.
As primary season begins, we are fighting back full throttle against these dangerous anti-Israel voices.
