# [#]John—I know you’ve gotten quite a few emails from our campaign this week, so I’ll keep this brief.

I’m already hearing rumblings that the GOP had a successful fundraising period this month and it’s making me worried. While my colleagues and I are in Washington fighting for much-needed progress, Republicans are meeting with dark-money backers to ramp up attacks on vulnerable Democrats across the country. A GOP takeover is something that we cannot afford, but it’s looking more likely every day.

I know that I have the grassroots support to pull off a win this November, but we’re falling behind and might not meet our goal. We set a goal of 250 supporters to contribute to the campaign before midnight to close our budget gap and we’re so close to reaching that goal. Can you help?
