With Alexandria’s primary in just four months, we wanted to share some of February’s numbers behind our grassroots movement to show you how our volunteers and donors like you have powered incredible progress this month:

📅 Team AOC is hosting 8 in person canvases to collect the 1,250 signatures needed by April 7 in order to secure Alexandria’s place on the ballot this year. We’re training hundreds of volunteers in person and virtually to not only gather signatures, but also help us reach new voters who will be voting as part of NY-14 for the first time following the state’s redistricting. 🙌 We raised $30,000 to help elect two progressive champions to Congress from Texas: Greg Casar and Jess Cisneros. This is money that wouldn’t have made it into the hands of these historic campaigns without Team AOC and grassroots donors like you. ✍️ Over 5,000 people signed our petition in support of banning members of Congress from trading stocks. Through this public pressure and Alexandria’s pressure in Congress, the Ban Conflicted Trading Act gained major momentum in Washington D.C. 💰 More than 20,000+ generous supporters have donated this month to re-elect AOC. Our average donation this month is $13.76! |
Our movement wouldn’t be possible without the thousands of volunteers who’ve attended our events, and the hundreds of thousands who’ve donated to AOC or our movement partners. We wouldn’t be asking if it weren’t so important. But the truth is that our Republican opponents have already started raising against us in anticipation of Alexandria’s election.
That’s why we need to get back on track on the final day of the month – because right now we’re still short of meeting our goal.
