I’m writing this evening with an important request. I want to ask you to make a donation to our campaign before tonight’s end-of-month fundraising deadline. But before I do, I hope you’ll give me a chance to explain why this request is so important — especially now.

Here’s the situation: In just a few short hours, we close the books on our February fundraising.

As I’m sure you know, the vast majority of the money we raise comes from small-dollar, grassroots donations, almost entirely from emails just like this one. I’m incredibly proud of that fact.

It’s how we powered our historic campaign in 2020. It was supporters like you chipping in when you could that allowed us to organize and mobilize around a progressive agenda that spoke to working people, and it’s why we won.

That important work continues.

We can’t afford to let up, even for a moment — we must continue building our movement, growing support for transformative policies like the Green New Deal and health care as a human right, and helping elect strong progressive allies up and down the ballot, all across the country.

Doing that takes resources, far more resources than I would like. But that’s the reality — especially when the fossil fuel giants, dark money super PACs, and the billionaires who run them are eager to stop our movement’s momentum at the first sign of weakness.

Now’s the part where I ask — what do you say?

Will you make your first online $3 contribution to our people-powered campaign before tonight’s midnight deadline? The amount isn’t as important as the donation itself — anything you can spare sends an unmistakable message about our collective power. [[link removed]]
