I have an end-of-month fundraising goal coming up tonight at midnight, but to be honest, my focus is elsewhere right now. It’s on the dangerous gun laws moving forward in Georgia.

Today in Atlanta, Georgia Republicans are taking futher steps in the state legislature to weaken our gun laws.

The Georgia GOP doing away with our state's current concealed carry permit laws would be a huge blow to gun safety. This is a move that the NRA is currently pushing in states all around the country this year. Unfortunately, Republicans here have the votes needed if they decide to move forward and pass this "permitless carry" law over Democrat’s objections.

And that’s not the only stunt they’re pulling this week...

Many of the most influential members of the Georgia GOP will attend Marjorie Taylor Greene’s “Shall Not Be Infringed” gun rights rally this week that she has organized along with Steve Bannon and Rep. Matt Gaetz.

It’s crystal clear, John. The Georgia GOP doesn’t care about the safety of our families. They don’t care about responsible gun ownership. They don’t care about lives that are literally on the line. They only care about catering to the extreme and far-right views of their base.

John, I apologize, but that’s where my head is today ahead of our February fundraising deadline. But, I also recognize that we need to hit our campaign’s goals to make sure we can win our own competitive primary coming up in May. We’re not there yet:
