Dear John,

Our siblings in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas and Kansas are gathering us together this evening. The Mass Poor People's & Low-Wage Workers' Assembly and Moral March on Washington and to the Polls Mobilization Tour is online tonight at 7pm CST/ 8pmEST.

The Tour Stop comes on the eve of the primary election in Texas. The priorities and demands of poor and low-wealth Texans and neighbors will be front and center as we continue to demonstrate the voting and moral power of those most impacted by the policy violence of the US Congress and state houses.

Speakers who are directly impacted by the policy violence of the US Congress in these states will headline the event, joined by faith leaders and artists, all demanding this nation do MORE to live up its possibilities and end the interlocking injustices of systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation and the denial of health care, militarism and the war economy and the false moral narrative of religious nationalism.

We are building people power towards our generationally-transformation declaration of the power of poor and low-wealth people and our moral allies to say that this system is killing ALL of us and we can’twe won’twe refuse to be silent anymore!

We know that our Mass Poor People’s & Low-Wage Workers’ Assembly and Moral March on Washington and to the Polls on June 18, 2022 “is NOT just a day of action. It is a declaration of an ongoing, committed moral movement to 1) Shift the moral narrative; 2) Build power; and 3) Make real policies to fully address poverty and low wealth from the bottom up.” Bishop Barber and Rev. Theoharis, Co-Chairs.

Please join us tonight at 7pm CST/8pm EST, sharing the online stream with your networks and on social media: www.poorpeoplescampaign.org/livestream

Forward together, not one step back!

Rev. Dr. William Barber and Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis
