As Washington continues to promote a potential war (this time with a nuclear-armed adversary!) I’m forced to observe the layers of corruption that enable this pattern of militarism to repeat itself yet again.

Can you join us today to expand our efforts to expose that corruption, and offer an alternative to the voters otherwise poised to send a crucial architect of militarism back to Washington for the 19th term?

The original reason I left non-profit advocacy to leap into the electoral arena was to challenge the institutional corruption of the military-industrial complex. I’ve been challenging it, from the streets to the halls of Congress and local legislatures across the country, for two decades.

I grew tired of watching career politicians screw the pooch, mouthing oaths of office to a Constitution that they don’t even understand well enough to recognize when it’s under assault.

Running against Pelosi offered the chance to more closely explore and examine her record, which reveals stunning complicity in the entrenchment of bipartisan militarism over the past generation. By actively funding everything from recurring wars-for-profit to concentration camps at our country’s borders, and helping cover up everything from CIA torture to NSA mass surveillance, Pelosi has helped lead the neutralization of the Democratic Party as a voice for global peace.

Pelosi’s role enabling the institutional corruption of Washington’s military-industrial complex is the tip of an iceberg. Remember: this is a figure born into a political dynasty who has amassed a private fortune worth over $200 million, at least in part through targeted self-serving tax breaks, personally benefiting from government economic relief programs intended for those less fortunate, and insider trading.

In other words, the institutional corruption of the Pentagon relies on a figure whose individual corruption insulates it.

When I ran against Pelosi in 2020, I discovered that the party patronage network supporting Pelosi is as corrupt as the institutional establishment that she protects in Washington. An article published just last weekend publicly exposed new layers of the disinformation orchestrated by Democratic Party climbers to insulate Pelosi.

We’re working tirelessly to defend election integrity, fend off disinformation from across the political spectrum, and hold accountable a powerful oligarch.
