John, today I formally filed my paperwork to be on the ballot as candidate for the next Lieutenant Governor of Arkansas! It was a special day for my family, but also a historic day for Arkansans who have the chance to vote for the State’s first female Governor and Lt. Governor! I pray that one day my little girl looks back on this picture of her momma and will appreciate the significance of this momentous occasion.

As we get closer to the Republican Primary Election on May 24th, you are going to hear a lot of fiery political rhetoric from my political opponents to draw your attention away from my record of accomplishments and the lack of theirs. However, if you were raised like me then you already know that actions speak louder than words and voters care much more about a candidate’s record not their rhetoric… I’m proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish on behalf of Arkansans and I encourage you go check out the “Rutledge Record” for yourself before you cast your vote.

If you believe elected officials should take the “a little less talk and a lot more action” approach to government, then I’m your girl! But time is running out and I need your help now to finish this campaign strong! Please consider contributing to our campaign before our monthly deadline at 11:59pm tonight!

Thanks,
Leslie
