Whenever we’re facing a major deadline like this, I find myself thinking about why I started Truth to Power. When I first ran for Congress in 2018, I was considered a ‘long shot’ candidate. I was running on a progressive platform in a historically red district. I knew the odds were stacked against me but I didn’t give up—because I was determined to help working people and hold wealthy corporations accountable.
Thanks to early grassroots supporters like you, John, I won. Now, I’m relying on you to help me support other progressive candidates who will fight for our values alongside me in Congress. I just endorsed three remarkable candidates facing competitive races: Dr. Yadira Caraveo, Jessica Cisneros, and Quaye Quartey. Winning won’t be easy, but I know firsthand—with supporters like you by our side, anything is possible.
