There’s no Black women in the U.S. Senate. Together, we can make it happen.
John, did you see this?
I had the absolute honor of being interviewed by Essence about my journey to be the FIRST Black woman elected to the U.S. Senate from Ohio.
I can’t do it without you, so I have to ask: Can I count on your contribution of $5 or more today? We still haven’t met our $11,211 online fundraising goal and we only have until midnight tonight to reach it.
Let me keep it real with you, John, I'm in an extremely uphill battle. I’m a Black woman running for office. And there’s extensive research that Black women candidates raise on average half of what white candidates raise.
There’s no sugarcoating that! And on top of the racism and sexism that I’m constantly fighting against, I refuse to take the easy way out, and our campaign doesn't take a dime of super PAC, fossil fuel, or corporate PAC money.
I’ve been called “dumber than AOC” and “angry” by Josh Mandel. I’ve had Tim Ryan dismiss my campaign and refuse to take me seriously because he doesn’t believe that a candidate like me could ever make it to the Senate.
I’ll never apologize for or change who I am, no matter how many times my corporate-backed opponents count me out. I KNOW I have the community behind me, and nothing they can do or say will take that away.
Now, I need your help again. We’re rapidly approaching our primary election day and we can’t afford to fall behind. We have to ramp up our outreach and efforts to get the word out if we have any chance at winning this seat and sending the first Black woman to the U.S. Senate from Ohio.
Can you donate $5 before midnight to help us close our fundraising gap?

Thank you for your continued support,
