The bill to ban abortion after 15 weeks in Florida has already passed the House Floor, and it’s headed to the Senate Floor this week, where it will likely pass. 

We are facing the biggest threat to reproductive freedom in our state that we ever have. If there was any time to get involved, it would be now. 

I support Ruth’s List because they are committed to electing Democratic pro-choice women across Florida. When I was running for office, the resources they provided to me were invaluable. But they need our help in order to do that.

February may have been a short month, but it was full of activity. 

This month, Republican lawmakers in the state legislature aggressively pushed a 15-week abortion ban through the House, and it's expected to pass the Senate next week. 

As we face our toughest fight over abortion rights yet, we need to be prepared. While now, this abortion ban is unconstitutional, that may not last long. Roe v. Wade is on the precipice of being overturned, and we can’t let our guard down. 

Throughout the last few weeks, our candidates and alumni have spoken up against this extreme ban. Their voices have amplified our movement to protect reproductive freedom in Florida. 

Ruth’s List is committed to electing Democratic pro-choice women across Florida, and we are determined to help all of our alumni win re-election this November. But we need your support. Before the end of the month, can you commit to becoming a monthly donor to help us in this fight?

With the midterm elections only nine months away, it’s no exaggeration to say that our time to act is quickly running out. We have to strengthen our movement now so we can be prepared in the coming months.
