For years, DFA members have done away with the establishment's old, failed model that doesn't emphasize deep organizing and year-round engagement.

Instead, in elections at every level, DFA does what the establishment won't do: long-term organizing, new voter registration, people-powered persuasion, and aggressive GOTV efforts, all targeted at expanding the electorate and electing progressives not beholden to corporate power.

In 2022, on the ground organizing and one on one conversations with voters can help put progressives over top, but these hands-on efforts cost a lot of money.
