What a record-breaking month we’ve had here at VoteRiders, and all thanks to YOU!

During our two “Texts for Texas” events this month, together, we successfully reached 200k+ Texas voters ahead of their March 1st primary election!!! Thanks to all involved in our BIGGEST text banks yet, we were able to identify which voters needed immediate ID information and assistance and offer our direct and immediate support. The state’s new voter ID requirements have caused widespread confusion, and we know that every text sent made a difference and helped eligible Texans vote with confidence.

We cannot stress enough the importance of our collective efforts and how every text, letter, and phone call has an impact that resonates. Two special shout-outs to actress and native Texan Piper Perabo for lending her voice to inspire others, and to our incredible partner organization, the Texas Turnout Coalition, for co-hosting last week’s text bank and showing what’s possible through teamwork.

As more states gear up for primary elections in the coming months, we at VoteRiders are gearing up for EVEN MORE impactful volunteer events. Next up, Georgia! We’ve got an updated list from the Secretary of State’s office with the addresses of a whopping 157,000+ registered GA voters without ID on file and who will face challenges in voting by mail as a result of Georgia’s new voting law.

Together, this March we’re writing letters to as many of these voters as possible ahead of the Georgia primaries in May. Your handwritten letters will deliver crucial ID information and assistance to the voters who are most likely to be disenfranchised by Georgia’s newest voting law and who may have questions about the ID they need to cast a ballot.

Our first letter-writing party of 2022 is coming up this Thursday, March 3rd at 7 PM ET (6 PM CT / 4 PM PT) [[link removed]] . And if you can’t make that one, we’ve got two additional ones later in the month on March 17th and March 24th [[link removed]] .
