Team,

It’s been a busy time for everyone here at Bourdeaux HQ over the last few weeks — but our hard work is paying off. It’s so important that we speak with as many voters as possible if we want a shot at finishing the job and flipping GA-7.

With Georgia’s persistent voter suppression problems back in the news, we’re focused on election security and making sure every voice is heard in GA-7. This is an issue I am personally invested in, so I’m glad to know that my supporters care just as deeply about this issue. In fact, we’re bringing together voting rights and election security experts for a discussion on Monday, November 18th here in the district.

This month, the Democratic Presidential candidates will descend on Atlanta for the November Presidential Debate. But even as we keep our eyes on the top of the ticket for November 2020, my team and I are focused on the issues that matter most to families right here in Gwinnett and Forsyth Counties.

Scroll down to see what my team and I have been up to over the last few weeks — oh, and before I sign off, here’s a picture (as promised) of Nathan in his Halloween costume!

Talk soon,
- CB

We were so excited to march with our LGBTQ+ friends at the Atlanta pride parade. We didn’t let the rain put a damper on what was a lively, joyous, and all-around inclusive day!

We joined the Democratic Party of Georgia State Committee meeting, hosted by the Forsyth County Dems. Thanks for having us and listening to the issues that are driving this campaign!

We stopped by the Chocolaterie right here in Duluth — a great place to satisfy your sweet tooth while supporting our local businesses!

The past few weeks we joined the wonderful congregations at New Jerusalem Baptist Church and Berean Christian Church for Sunday services — thank you for having us, Pastor Collins and Pastor Lee!

It was also great to see all of the engaged community members coming together for a discussion of our health care. We heard from folks with the Clarkston Community Health Center — an organization on the front lines of addressing the health care disparity here in Georgia. Our health care system is badly broken and fixing it is one of the key reasons I’m running for Congress.

Thank you to Dr. Saeed Raees and Mwoddah Habib for organizing.

According to reports, an estimated 300,0000 voters are being purged from the voter rolls here in Georgia. We’ve seen further reports that voters in last week’s municipal elections encountered problems with the new computers at the polls.

This is especially concerning as we look ahead to the 2020 elections.

We must use every opportunity and tool at our disposal to make sure that every voice is heard. It is essential to be proactive on this issue and actively fight attempts to silence our vote.

Can you contribute now to help Team Bourdeaux combat voter suppression efforts in the months ahead?

Last month, we asked you whether you or someone you knew encountered problems at the polls. If you didn’t get a chance to respond, please take our survey and share your story. It’s critical that we work together to make sure Georgians’ voices are heard — not suppressed.

People are talking about our campaign’s incredible grassroots power! Unlike our GOP opponents, we can’t write six-figure personal checks to finance our campaign. Check out the buzz and share this on your own social media:

We’ll be reaching out a lot over the next few months, so please make sure to add our campaign email [email protected] to your address book so that you don’t miss our messages.

We’re always looking for folks to host a fundraiser or join us at an event: email Caitlin Rueden at [email protected] to learn more.

Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram too!
