MODERATOR: Paul Weinstein, Jr., Senior Fellow, PPI, and Director of the Graduate Program in Public Management at Johns Hopkins University Vanessa Gail Perry, Associate Dean for Faculty and Research, Professor of Marketing, Strategic Management and Public Policy, GWU School of Business Joanne Gaskin, Vice President of Scores and Analytics, FICO Beth Bell, Tax Counsel, House Committee of Ways and Means How Democrats Can Replace Trump’s Failing Foreign Policy It’s hard to know what kind of foreign policy Americans want today. The evidence is mixed. On the other hand, what they don’t want is growing clearer every day—Donald Trump’s brand of self-dealing, morally vacant diplomacy. A survey commissioned in fall 2018 by the Progressive Policy Institute found that 83% of Americans worry that drug companies are “charging too much.” The poll also found that 73% of Americans have negative feelings about drug companies. Other polls corroborate these feelings, leading to multiple Congressional hearings and legislative proposals.
