Friend -
This is not a pitch for PowerPAC but a heartfelt plea for the Ukrainian people. Donate, protest, talk about what is happening in the Ukraine. Personally, my family is not untouched by the horrible impacts of war. My 101 year old father, yes still with us, fought in WW II. And my closest friend escaped the “Fall of Saigon." Both lost everything as a cost of war.
We feel for the people of the Ukraine as they bravely fight for their freedom. We ask you to do all you can to help. If you are pissed about the cost of gas, direct your anger towards Dictator Putin. If you are worried about your retirement fund because of the volatility of the markets, blame Putin. If you have friends or relatives directly affected by the casualties of war, blame Putin.
I just found out that a work colleague of mine has family in the Ukraine and they are desperately trying to find a way to America. Unfortunately upon some investigation the US is not set up to welcome these refugees yet (even though the Administration says it will welcome Ukrainian refugees). This may only be a logistics problem but I am hoping that it gets fixed soon. This family is making its way to a NATO country in hopes of being reunited in the US with my work colleague.
So I ask you to pray for/keep in your thoughts the people of the Ukraine, protest against the Russian invasion, give help to the people of the Ukraine and don’t stop talking about what is happening there and what we can do to help.
As always in solidarity,
Andy
