As its name implies, the Lincoln Fellowship places special emphasis on how the statesmanship and political thought of the Founders and Lincoln should guide policymakers today.
Lincoln Fellows are public policy professionals, senior journalists, and media veterans in mid-career who are exercising influence and hold key positions in national politics.
During their stay, Lincoln Fellows meet with the Claremont Institute's Senior Fellows and other distinguished visiting scholars to study American politics and political thought. In intensive daily seminars and relaxed evening symposia, fellows discuss a wide selection of great American readings.
Topics of study and discussion include:
- The Founding
- Civil War
- Progressive Era
- Great Society
- The future of liberalism and conservatism
Accepted applicants will join a growing community of alumni dedicated to constitutional government and American founding principles. Our alumni extend from the cutting edge of national journalism to the White House, from the most distinguished universities in America to members of the United States Senate.
Accepted applicants will also be awarded a travel stipend, and lodging for the entire duration of the Fellowship. Most meals will also be provided.
Thank you for all you do to help us recover the American idea!
Applications due March 1 at midnight.
