Sorry to be blunt, but our February fundraising deadline ends tonight at midnight and we still need 182 more donations to close the gap and make sure Hakeem has the resources to win in November. We know we say this often, but hitting this month’s goal is so important. Here’s why: Recently, Politico reported that House Minority Leader McCarthy raised $9.5 million at a fundraiser to help the Cult take back the House. And to make things worse, former President Trump’s company of outside groups already has $122 million in the bank to support him and Republicans nationwide this year. And if that wasn’t enough to convince you, this month the RNC revealed their latest attack on our democracy by declaring that the violent insurrectionists who attacked the Capitol on January 6th were engaged in "legitimate political discourse.” We can’t overstate how critical it is that we prevent people like this from controlling Congress and how important it is that we re-elect people like Hakeem who are fighting for the people every day. The strength of this team has always been in our ability to come together in large numbers and fight for change. So if we plan to defend our House majority, then we need to hit our goals and put up a tough fight.
