Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain premieres this Sunday The legacy of Anthony Bourdain is a long and complicated one. The new CNN Film, Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain, attempts to contend with that legacy and reopen the conversation about how Bourdain is remembered. The documentary follows Bourdain's journey from line cook to celebrated global-trotting explorer and renowned television host. It also shows the raw emotion of his friends, colleagues and family as they reflect on his career and passing in 2018. The book's success led to Bourdain's first cooking show: A Cook's Tour. Despite what you might think, he was not a TV natural at the beginning. It took some time for the introvert to find his groove in front of the camera. He went on to host two widely popular travel shows, Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations and Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown.
Over the course of his career, Bourdain established himself as a professional gadfly, bête noir, advocate, social critic and pork enthusiast, recognized for his caustic sense of humor worldwide.
