Eddie Geller here.
Congress doesn’t look like the United States, John. The average lawmaker has a net worth of OVER $1 million — more than 95% of Americans.
It makes sense though. It’s tough for regular folks to run for office — and win.
Why? Take a look at my race. I’m running against a multi-millionaire, former insurance executive. My opponent, Scott Franklin, has a net worth of almost $50 million and is connected to the national MAGA fundraising network.
Rich candidates, like my opponent, can fund their own campaigns and count on their wealthy buddies for support. Middle-class candidates — like myself — are at a big disadvantage.
Because, unlike Scott Franklin, I can’t self-fund this campaign. I count on support from regular folks like you.
That’s why reaching tonight’s $7,050 End of Month goal is so important. We’re up against an extremely wealthy, former insurance CEO who can donate millions to his own campaign.
I know we can flip this seat, but only if we have the resources to compete against my multi-millionaire opponent.
John, if you think Congress should look more like our country, can you please chip in $5 to my people-powered campaign before the End of Month deadline tonight at midnight?
Thanks for pitching in, John!
